Despite the COVID delay, JOEST Australia celebrated 20 years since the founding in 2001 on 31st January 2023. The anniversary was postponed for 2 years, as was the factory opening after construction was completed in late 2020. Guests from the JOEST group around the world joined the Australian JOESTeam, their partners and valued customers in an evening of entertainment and factory tour showcasing the purpose built facility in Coldwell Road, Kenwick (Perth) WA. JOEST group Managing Partners Dr. Hans Moormann and Dr. Marcus Wirtz joined JOEST Australia Managing Director Ian Laws in opening the party. Guests included The Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Western Australia Dr Gabriele Maluga who spoke appreciative and motivating words about the
contribution of Germany companies like JOEST group to the economic growth in Western Australia. Industry leaders took the opportunity to see JOEST machines in various stages of construction, as well as a machine on the test bed. Nearly 200 guests enjoyed music performed by the Western Australia Youth Jazz Orchestra whist sharing many conversations over food and refreshments. Old friends and supporters of JOEST Australia over the years reminisced about the stories and challenges shared in the past, and opportunities in the future. The JOEST group and the Australian subsidiary look forward to the next 20 years with optimistic planes for future growth.
