Modernization of the
green sand molding line at Fritz Winter

Within the scope of this brownfield project, the entire green sand line was renewed from the bottom up: from the unpacking conveyor and the passive casting cooler to a sorting conveyor for manipulator operation through to the steel structure, sand chutes and other conveyor belts - all components were completely dismantled, rewired, the control system integrated and put into operation. Thanks to the use of 3D scans, we were able to ensure precise planning of the construction, which guaranteed a smooth and quick process. Dismantling and reconstruction were completed in just 13 days, and the system was up and running again in less than a week - the entire project was successfully completed in just 8 months.

A particular focus was on modernizing the systems. By installing state-of-the-art sensor technology, the operating status of the machines is continuously monitored, which not only increases the efficiency of production, but also enables faults to be detected at an early stage. This reduces downtime and significantly increases operational reliability.
