New Leadership for Dr. Marcus Wirtz

On November 21, 2024, the VDMA Mining & Minerals industry meeting took place at the Zeche Zollverein in Essen, Germany. This significant event focused on key topics such as securing raw materials, sustainability and upcoming regulatory challenges. A highlight of the meeting was the leadership transition within the association: our Managing Director Dr. Marcus Wirtz, was elected as the new Chairman of the Board.

As a longstanding member of the VDMA, JOEST group is proud to actively contribute to shaping the industry. Dr. Wirtz’s election to this important position underscores our commitment to developing innovative solutions for the challenges of the future.
