DESIGN
Conveying heights and widths
There are hardly any limits to the design of our lifting and tipping devices in terms of machine width and discharge height. All standard devices can be adjusted in terms of width and height according to the application. Discharge heights of up to 15,000 mm and container widths of up to 3,000 mm can be implemented.
DESIGN
Gentle Product Tipping
In many applications, the product must be tipped out gently in order to avoid damage to workpieces or to reduce noise during the tipping process. This is achieved in a variety of ways. On the one hand, contact surfaces can be coated with PU to dampen the fall. Furthermore, there are various measures to reduce the drop heights. For this purpose, we use sealing lids in the load handling device. First, the load handling device moves to the discharge position with the lid closed, keeping the bulk material inside. By slowly opening the lid, the material can then slide out gently.
DESIGN
Low-dust tipping / tipping drums
When charging, filling or transferring powders, bulk materials or toxic products, good sealing is essential to prevent dust formation. On the one hand, the set container must be fixed and sealed, and on the other hand, the interface at the transfer point must be sealed. For this purpose, completely enclosed or encapsulated load handling devices can be used, or lifting floors, whereby the containers are moved upwards against a seal and clamped after setting. On the dumping side, closing flaps and slides are used, which only open after docking. In the dumping position, automatic docking to a dust removal system can also be performed.
DESIGN
Food Safe
Our lifting and tipping devices are also used in a wide variety of applications in the food industry. For this purpose, we have a Clean Design option for our devices, in compliance with special welding standards. The machines are partially or completely made of stainless steel, and electrical components with high IP classes are used. These designs can also be used for ATEX zones 1 / 2 after testing.
DESIGN
Tilted head
In many cases, the discharge point is not located directly behind the lifting and tipping device. Or it is required to reach over a side wall and achieve an even, central discharge, without the use of chutes. In these cases, we can tilt the head of the machine stand by 30° to move the load handling device diagonally forward to the discharge point. This increases the horizontal distance between the lifting and tipping device and the discharge line.
DESIGN
Mobility
We can also offer all our standard devices as a mobile or displaceable solution. This may be necessary for several reasons, such as feeding a production line at multiple points, emptying bins into different containers, feeding blasting machines, manual displacing for maintenance purposes, etc. The machines can be moved either in X or Y axes, motorized on rails and fixed rollers, or manually in the case of lighter systems. During project planning, the focus is always on securing the work area, which is customized to the application and individual environment.
DESIGN
Automatic container feeding/ container storage
Our lifting and tipping devices are used in production lines where short cycle times and high availability are required, directly integrated into an automatic process. Here we offer solutions with automatic container feeders. A roller or chain conveyor is used in the load handling device itself, which pulls in the containers. Two-story container storage tanks can be used upstream of the lifting and tipping device. In that case, the full containers are buffered at the bottom and the emptied containers are discharged at the top. The lifting and tipping device serves as an independent charging device and automatically retrieves the next container from the storage tank as required.
DESIGN
Container feed
Usually, containers are fed to the lifting and tipping device from the front, but lateral feeds from the left or right are also possible without further ado. The entire area of the feeder is precisely tailored to the customer with his type of feeding (forklift, AGV, hand lift truck, etc.), as well as the containers used. Among other things, access is secured by interrogated safety doors, safety light curtains, high-speed doors, etc.
DESIGN
Container securing
The containers must be fixed in the load handling device during the dumping process. This can be done relatively easily by means of firmly welded-in brackets, but also automatically or with an adjustable design, in case a large number of different container sizes are to be handled. For example, containers can be held laterally with a hydraulic or pneumatic clamp, BigBags with retaining needles, trolleys with forks, pallets with lateral cases, octabins with crossbars, etc.
DESIGN
Immersion / lowering tipping position
With our heavy MDS series, we can achieve an additional travel movement of up to 250 mm downwards after reaching the 180° tipping angle. This enables immersion in the downstream unit, usually vibratory conveyor troughs and, in combination with the sealing lid, a further reduction of drop heights for the workpieces.
CUSTOMIZED
Options and accessories
All lifting and tipping devices have a variety of different options and accessories to choose from. For example, they can be equipped with automatic chain lubrication, special painting in almost any RAL tone, container weighing, locking pin lock to secure the load handling device, maintenance platforms on the machine head, PLC control, level monitoring, etc.
